sketchbook :: cinnamon buns

Kiddo's favorite Sunday morning breakfast, sketched with watercolor only in my handmade sketch journal. They are very tasty and very sweet, almost too sweet for me, especially first thing in the morning. I need to inspire her to make muffins, or omelettes, wouldn't that be good!

“In the tapestry of childhood, what stands out
is not the splashy, blow-out trips to Disneyland
but the common threads that run throughout and repeat:
the family dinners, nature walks, reading together at bedtime,
Saturday morning pancakes.”

Your kids are doubly blessed, Ann. First they get that special breakfast, then they have a resident artist to paint it for them! It's wonderful!

love them, maybe not for breakfast tho, a bit too sweet even without the icing (and thats often the best part :p)

Ann - those buns look wonderful...and I loved the poem too. Saturday morning breakfasts are different at our home too - lots of times something extra is made and sticky buns would be special. Have a beautiful day.
